Receive Draft Road Map 3 Million Houses From The Ministry Of PKP, Commission V DPR: Clarify The Stages Of Program Realization

JAKARTA - Commission V of the DPR has received a draft road map program of 3 million houses from the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP). The draft is considered to clarify the steps and stages of realization of one of the flagship programs of the Presidential Government Prabowo Subianto.

"Of course we appreciate this step, because this is a necessity that we have conveyed from the start so that this priority program is clear in its stages, targets, and sources of funding," said Deputy Chairman of Commission V DPR RI Syaiful Huda, Saturday, January 25.

Huda said that many people do not understand the strategy for the realization of the program of 3 million houses per year. In fact, this project is considered impossible to realize considering the limited land, funding schemes, and the provision of housing programs in the previous era. Where the realization only built hundreds of thousands of houses per year.

The view is of course natural because in the era of President Jokowi, the average realization of house provision per year is only around 240.00 to 300,000. So if there is an increase in the target of up to 3,000,000 houses per year, the strategy needs to be clarified," he said.

Moreover, Huda continued, for up to three months of cabinet tenure, the government still has difficulty explaining the source of financing, land availability, to the work scheme of the program of 3 million houses.

There is even confusion of information from government officials from both the Ministry of PKP and the Housing Task Force regarding the purchase scheme. Is it free or paid on credit.

"Well, we hope that with the road map design we can better understand how the 3 million house program will be realized," explained Huda.

Nevertheless, Huda admitted that he had not yet fully obtained a complete picture of the strategy for the realization of the program of 3 million houses from the road map submitted by the Ministry of PKP. According to him, what is conveyed in the draft Road Map is mostly only the snippets of data that have been given to Commission V before and can be easily accessed by the public.

"Later we will deepen our work meeting with the Minister of PKP in the near future because after reading the road map it is still very raw. For example, there is still confusion in the target based on the option of financing sources between 1.5 million per year and even 5 million per year. So later we will go deeper," said the West Java electoral district legislator.

The PKB politician added that at least a road map for the realization of the program of 3 million houses must contain several important things. These include target indicators, source of financing, impact indicators, sustainability indicators, and monitoring models.

The draft road map submitted by the Ministry of PKP does not meet the criteria for a Road Map for housing programs with a very large project scale. I consider there to be some kind of reluctance, or perhaps 'confusion' in making Road Map which should be a framework or reference framework for the big work of the Ministry of PKP," concluded Huda.
