Coordinating Minister Zulhas Ensures Food Stock Is Safe To Face Chinese New Year Until Eid

Coordinating Minister for Food Affairs (Menko Pangan) Zulkifli Hasan ensured that the supply of basic necessities (bapok) was safe during Chinese New Year until Eid 2025 or Eid al-Fitr 1446 H.

"This faces tomorrow Chinese New Year, then fasting, then Eid. Supplies, safe supplies, sufficient stock," he said after a coordination meeting at the Coordinating Ministry for Food, Graha Mandiri, Central Jakarta, Wednesday, January 22.

The man who is familiarly called Zulhas admits that there are indeed several commodities that have increased in a number of areas. For example, bulk oil to sugar.

Furthermore, Zulhas said that later there would be an evaluation meeting to find out the cause of the increase in a number of these commodities.

"Later, a further meeting will be held. It will be evaluated for what reason, and then there are policies that we will take," he explained.

In addition, Zulhas has also made a decision to procure imports of a number of commodities to face fasting and Eid al-Fitr 2025. One of them is the procurement of meat.

"It has been decided. It must be held immediately. It must be done immediately. We will monitor it so that it is fast. Don't let fasting be late, there are no goods," he said.
