JAKARTA - The Ministry of SOEs will again carry out Christmas with SOEs in 2024. PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) was appointed as the coordinator of Christmas activities in the Malang area, East Java, together with PT Petrokimia Gresik, Perum Jasa Tirta I, and PT Surabaya Industrial Estate Rungkut (SIER).

SIG's Corporate Secretary, Vita Mahreyni expressed her gratitude for the trust of the Ministry of SOEs in GIS to return to being the coordinator of Christmas with SOEs in 2024 which has entered its third year.

"Christmas is not only a momentum to share happiness, but also to strengthen solidarity in the big BUMN family. We are very happy to be able to participate in this activity, which is certainly in line with the social values that we uphold," said Vita Mahreyni, in a written statement, Thursday, January 16.

Vita Mahreyni hopes that this 2024 BUMN Joint Christmas can have a positive impact on the community and support social efforts aimed at improving mutual welfare.

"With the spirit of sharing and solidarity with others, GIS hopes to continue to encourage social activities that support sustainable development, as well as improve better quality of life for many parties," said Vita Mahreyni.

In this series of Christmas Together with the Ministry of SOEs and SOEs in 2024, GIS distributed assistance for repairing worship facilities to Protestant Church houses in West Indonesia (GPIB) Congregation of Petadier Kasih in Gapurosukolilo Village, Gresik Regency. Representative of the assembly of the GPIB congregation, Bahat Kasih, Thabita Agustina Konde, expressed his gratitude to GIS for paying great attention to the church.

"For more than two decades, GIS has shown great attention to us, and we feel very blessed for the assistance provided," said Thabita Agustina Konde.

Apart from GIS, PT Petrokimia Gresik also distributed assistance for the repair of the Bhakti Luhur Orphanage facility in Malang, SIER, distributed assistance for means of supporting productivity for residents of the Class IIA Surabaya Women's Detention Center such as sewing machines and hydroponic greenhouses, and Perum Jasa Tirta I distributed donation assistance for the needs of elderly residents at the Taburtuai Foundation's Home, Pondok Pemulihan in Malang.
