Tagar Boycott JNE Not The First Time Many On Twitter, Year 2020 Excitement Over Birthday Speech From Ustaz Haikal Hassan Called 'Kadrun'

JAKARTA - PT Lintas Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE), a freight forwarding service company, is in the spotlight on Twitter social media. The JNE boycott hashtag is also buzzing again, after previously the same hashtag enlivened Twitter in December 2020.

The JNE boycott hashtag this time was the impact of the circulation of job vacancies pamphlets opened by JNE, in which there was one requirement that netizens paid attention to, namely requiring applicants to be Muslim. These vacancies are considered discriminatory.

It is known that JNE Express has opened job vacancies for motorbike couriers in the Tamiang Layang area, East Dusun District, East Barito Regency, Central Kalimantan Province. However, the maker of the job vacancy pamphlet is named CV Bangun Benua Lestari.

A netizen named Leonard Han who uploaded the pamphlet said that JNE was still not converted. He also challenged JNE to consistently post announcements refusing to ship goods from non-Muslim customers.

"JNE is still not converted, right. This is the one in the Tamiang area, Central Kalimantan. Do you think you are consistent by including an announcement that you don't accept shipments of non-Muslim goods???," he wrote, quoted on Tuesday, December 7th.

According to Leonardo, JNE should not only dare to reject prospective non-Muslim employees, but must also dare to refuse business related to non-Muslims.

"Don't just dare to refuse prospective non-Muslim employees, but also have the courage to refuse business related to non-Muslims," he continued.

Meanwhile, one netizen with an account named @nuvitariani considered that the job vacancy was very discriminatory. Especially considering that the majority of residents in the area are non-Muslims.

"God-level discrimination. RELIGION MUST BE ISLAM, if you want to work at JNE Tamiang Layang. You shouldn't have to write it like that, especially when the majority of East Barito people are non-Muslim. Respect each other," he wrote.

JNE was boycotted for allegedly being affiliated with Haikal Hassan

In December 2020, the tagarboycott of PT TIKI Lintas Nugraha Ekakurir (JNE) became a trending topic on Twitter. Netizens are busy calling for the movement to stop using JNE services. The call started with posting a video greeting the 30th birthday for JNE from the Secretary General of the HRS Center, Ustaz Haikal Hassan Baras.

As a result, the post provoked netizens to associate JNE with the term KADRUN and accused JNE of supporting Ustadz Haikal Hassan. Unfortunately, the post was lost after it was retweeted by netizens.

One account with the name Donny Njoo revealed that he had been part of JNE's business journey for two decades. However, with the video greeting from Haikal Hassan, he decided not to use the company's services anymore.

In line with Donny, an account with the name Bang Piet also claims to be an old JNE customer. However, because of Haikal Hassan's video, he no longer wants to use JNE services.

"I've been using JNE dr since he didn't have a magnificent office building in Tomang, until now, but unfortunately the Kadrun has been infiltrated. And starting tomorrow I won't be using JNE anymore. #JNE30Tahun," he said.

When confirmed, the CEO of PT JNE Muhammad Feriadi admitted that he did not want to respond to negative comments sent to his party. Even so, Feriadi emphasized, his company is neutral and does not support or be affiliated with any party.

"What is certain is that we are neutral, JNE is in a neutral position," he told VOI, in Jakarta, Friday, December 11, 2020.

As is known, the spokesperson for the 212 alumni presidium, Haikal Hassan Baras alias Babe Haikal, was one of those who supported the return of FPI Grand Imam Rizieq Shihab from Saudi Arabia to the country.

In fact, Haikal also took part in picking up Rizieq together with other Rizieq supporters at Soekarno Hatta Airport, Tangerang, Banten.

Not only that, Babe Haikal also had time to cry and hug Habib Rizieq. The recording was uploaded via the Twitter social networking account, @haikal_hassan.

"Second seconds welcomed the IMAM. From the moment you got off the plane to the car, Allahu Akbar," Babe Haikal wrote as quoted by VOI.
