JAKARTA - The District Government (Pemkab) of Nagan Raya, Aceh continues to strive for the scheduled airline Wings Air to return to serve flights to Cut Nyak Dhien Nagan Raya Airport, so that air transportation for people on the southwest coast of Aceh returns to normal.

"We have sat down with representatives of airlines and airport authorities and related parties, we hope as soon as possible in 2021 for flights to return to normal as before the pandemic," said Head of the Nagan Raya Aceh Regency Transportation Service, Mahdali, quoted from Antara, Monday, October 18.

He explained, from 2020 to 2021, Wings Air's flight services at Cut Nyak Dhien Nagan Raya Aceh Airport were disrupted due to the pandemic.

As a result of this problem, most of the people in the southwest coast of Aceh were forced to use air transportation via Sultan Iskandar Muda International Airport, Blang Bintang, Aceh Besar.

As a result of having to use aircraft services in Aceh Besar, he said again. people have to travel overland between five and nine hours. This is very burdensome for the community because they have to pay more.

With the return flight service through Cut Nyak Dhien Nagan Raya Airport, he said, people who live in the districts of West Aceh, Nagan Raya, Southwest Aceh, South Aceh, Subulussalam to Aceh Singkil can use aircraft services in this area.

"We continue to push for Wings Air to return to normal operations, this is what we hope for," said Mahdali.
