JAKARTA - PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk (WIFI) through its subsidiary PT Integration Network Ecosystem (Weave) inaugurated the latest integrated connectivity service, Weave Connect.

The launch event which took place in Bandung was opened virtually by the President Commissioner of PT Solusi Sinergi Digital Tbk, Rudiantara. The event was also attended by PLT Vice President Non-Transport Commercialization of PT KAI (Persero) Krisna Arianto along with all invitations from ISPs (Internet Service Providers) and Telecommunication Companies.

This event marks the start of the utilization of the fiber-optic network built by Weave which positions itself as a Neutral Carrier Provider and Collaborator.

As is known, the company accelerated the completion of the construction of a 2800 km fiber-optic network infrastructure to respond to the growing need for high-speed connectivity.

With an initial installed capacity of 5.6 Tbps and a potential maximum capacity of 32 Tbps, the construction of a fiber-optic infrastructure network along the railway line is a promising alternative for the development of the telecommunications industry in Indonesia in the future.

Currently, the company has completed the first segment of fiber optic infrastructure network construction, namely Jakarta-Bandung and Jakarta-Bogor. It is planned that the entire network along the island of Java will be completed in December 2021.

The development of the fiber optic network along the railway line has a very minimal risk of disruption because it is built in a sterile area. This supports a smooth infrastructure network, large bandwidth capacity, and stable connectivity with low latency.

In addition, this network infrastructure also uses six Ring protection and the latest technology, namely the Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing (DWDM) system with the support of three DWDM transport devices in all Ring Network Weave as redundancy support, and Auto Switched Optical Network as part of reliable network protection.

At this event, the company also launched an application that can be a solution for Internet Service Provider (ISP) business owners. With this application, all customers from ISPs who partner with Weave will be able to continue to enjoy high-speed connectivity services from Merak to Banyuwangi in an integrated manner.

This feature is certainly a potential for all local ISPs to be able to collaborate with Weave in advancing the digital ecosystem in Indonesia through the provision of a reliable network.

In addition to the inauguration related to fiber optic network infrastructure, Surge is also finalizing a collaboration with PT Festival Citra Lestari (Genflix). Genflix itself is a subscription digital or over-the-top content streaming service consisting of live channels and video-on-demand.
