JAKARTA - The 2021 Local Creative Festival has increased the enthusiasm of small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in five Indonesian Tourism Super Priority Destinations (DSPs), namely Lake Toba, North Sumatra; Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara; Borobudur, Central Java; Likupang, North Sulawesi; and Mandalika, West Nusa Tenggara, to grow and increase their capacity to adapt and innovate to the development of the business world.

Since registration opened on September 1, 2021, as many as 223 SMEs from the Fashion, Culinary and Craft business categories have participated in the initial selection of the 2021 Local Creative Festival. Titled #TumbuhBersamaSahabat, this program is the result of collaboration between Adira Finance and the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy ( Kemenperakraf) Republic of Indonesia.

The Marketing Director of the Creative Economy Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Yuana Rochma Astuti, welcomed this collaboration with Adira Finance, in an effort to improve the quality of SMEs in the five DSPs of Indonesian Tourism. The 2021 Local Creative Festival is a necessity in the development of SME businesses in the tourism sector, to be more adaptive, collaborative, as well as innovative, in order to support the national economy.

SMEs participating in the 2021 Local Creative Festival will undergo a number of activities. After registering, they will be directly selected so that 50 SMEs are obtained in each of the Indonesian Tourism DSPs. They will then receive material to improve their soft skills through coaching camp activities by Prasetiya Mulya ELI.

Then, from the 50 participants, 3 local hero SMEs will be selected from each category of Fashion, Culinary, and Craft business in each Indonesian Tourism DSP. These 9 local hero SMEs will undergo a more intensive coaching camp from Prasetiya Mulya ELI and Ecamp Indonesia, using methods that can be directly applied by SMEs to grow their creative businesses.

In addition, these 9 local hero SMEs will be judged by the Jury, which consists of 5 figures with expertise and experience in business and the creative economy. The jury consists of the founder of M Bloc Space, Handoko Hendroyono, as the chairman of the jury; and as members of the Jury are the President Director of Adira Finance, Hafid Hadeli; Deputy of Marketing for Creative Economy Kemenparekraf RI, Nia Niscaya; Director of HR & Marketing Adira Finance, Swandajani Gunadi; and, Marketing Director of the Creative Economy Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy, Yuana Rochma Astuti.

The jury will judge based on product innovation and originality, vision and mission, business models, and business strategies developed by SMEs from the three categories of Fashion, Culinary, and Craft from each of the five Indonesian Tourism DSPs. As additional motivation, SMEs that become local heroes will get prizes worth a total of hundreds of millions of rupiah in the form of additional business capital, and exposure in various national media, both print and online.

This award will be given at the 2021 Gebyar Adira Kreasi event which will be held on November 13, 2021, as the culmination of the 2021 Local Creative Festival series.
