Duo Bakrie Involved BLBI Debt Of Rp22 Billion, Task Force Summons This Week

JAKARTA - The BLBI Funds State Collection Task Force (BLBI Task Force) is scheduled to summon a number of those who have debts to the state this week. In an announcement released by a national mass media, it is known that there are two names from the Bakrie clan, namely Nirwan Dermawan Bakrie and Indra Usmansyah Bakrie.

"Calls to Mr. Nirwan Dermawan Bakrie, whose address is Hang Lekir IV Street Kav.32 South Jakarta, and Indra Usmansyah Bakrie with the address in Hang Lekir IV Street Kav.31 South Jakarta," the BLBI Task Force announced as quoted on Tuesday, 14 September.

In addition to Bakrie and colleagues, the Task Force also summoned four other parties, namely PT Usaha Mediatronika Nusantara, Andrus Roestam Moenaf, Pinkan Warrouw, and Anton Setianto.

"We are hereby requesting your presence on Friday, September 17, 2021, at 09.00-11.00 at Syarifudin Prawiranegara Building, 1st floor, Ministry of Finance, Central Jakarta, to settle the state's claim rights of at least Rp22.67 billion related to debtor obligations of former Bank Putera Multikarsas," said Task Force.

It is important to note that the summoning of obligors and debtors through public media is the last resort after the two initial personal summons were ignored (be absent). This was confirmed by the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) Sri Mulyani in a press conference some time ago.

“We've been calling twice personally, which means we don't publish. If there are good intentions (coming) and want to solve it, they will immediately discuss it with them. However, if we have been called once and there is no response, twice there is no response, then we will announce to the public who they are," said the Minister of Finance.

Previously, the BLBI Task Force had also summoned through the mass media Hutomo Mandala Putra alias Tommy Suharto and Setiawan Harjono, who is also known to be a member of the former Second House of Representatives, Setya Novanto. Unfortunately, both of them were not mentioned on the agenda.
