Minister Of Teten Appreciates Noodle And Meatball Traders Association Holds Mass Vaccination

JAKARTA - Assessed as helping the government to accelerate vaccination, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki appreciates the Noodle and Meatball Traders Association (Papmiso) with the Red and White Taruna, and the Bekasi Metro Police who held a COVID-19 vaccination activity at Lotte Mart Field, North Cikarang.

"We should appreciate Papmiso's role in helping the government to accelerate the acceleration of vaccination, especially if it is carried out independently, from the mutual cooperation fees of its members," said Minister Teten quoting Antara, Sunday, August 8.

Papmiso's contribution, said Teten, as a Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (UMKM) actor, helped the government in increasing the acceleration of COVID-19 vaccination among MSME actors.

"I was given a special assignment from the President to directly observe the implementation of the vaccination that was held by Papmiso with the TMP. In accordance with his (President) directives, I want to ensure that the community really participates in the vaccination maximally," explained Teten.

According to data presented by Teten, MSME actors are one of the sectors directly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic following 200 out of a total of 2,500 noodle and meatball traders who were forced to close their stalls.

"Even the reports that I received, sales turnover had also fallen by 70 percent during the implementation of Emergency PPKM. The government has responded with various assistance ranging from social assistance, productive banpres, to restructuring of cheap loans for the recovery of MSMEs," he explained.

Teten proposed that the Bekasi Regency Government make a special policy that would allow local MSMEs to reopen their outlets through a scheme for granting open-worthy certification with the requirements of meeting strict health protocols.

"I previously conveyed to the Acting Regent of Bekasi and Mr. Kapolres, maybe it could be tried by providing certification that is suitable for opening for SMEs that meet health protocols," added Teten.

Business actors who have been allowed to meet the requirements or the local government will close again. "This is a manifestation of the responsibility of business actors as well as the impact of COVID-19. There it can be interpreted, we are still living side by side with the pandemic, but gradually we will fight and get rid of this republic," he said.
