Bank Mandiri Record Disbursement Of IDR 19.68 Trillion KUR In Semester I 2021, Enjoyed By 200 Thousands Of Debtors

JAKARTA - PT Bank Mandiri Tbk reported that the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) had reached Rp19.68 trillion in the first semester of 2021. This amount was distributed to 200,339 company debtors from various economic sectors.

Bank Mandiri SEVP Micro & Consumer Finance Josephus Koernianto Triprakoso said that for the rest of this year or the second half of 2021, the company will focus on distributing KUR in the agriculture, plantation, livestock and fisheries sectors.

"According to our monitoring, these sectors still have relatively large potential because they support domestic food security. In addition, the prospects for these sectors are still good because they are not significantly affected by the COVID-19 pandemic," he said as reported by the official website, Friday, July 23.

Josephus added that KUR for the productive sector will continue to be increased considering that this sector is the foundation of life for most Indonesians, as well as being one of the driving wheels of the national economy.

Furthermore, in order to support economic recovery in the MSME sector, Bank Mandiri also carried out a restructuring program for KUR debtors affected by the Covid-19 pandemic in the form of delaying principal and interest payments.

"We hope that this effort can be a catalyst to help accelerate the recovery of the national economy, especially in the MSME sector," he said.

For information, the state-owned bank with the stock code BMRI has succeeded in providing small KUR of IDR 16.01 trillion and micro KUR of IDR 3.63 trillion.

Of the distribution value, as much as 58.03 percent or equivalent to Rp. 11.42 trillion has been channeled to the production sector which includes the sub-sectors of agriculture, fisheries, processing industry, production services and their derivatives.

Meanwhile, the quality of Bank Mandiri's KUR portfolio is well maintained with a total non-performing loan (NPL) at 0.45 percent as of June 30, 2021.

"We are optimistic that we will be able to encourage the distribution of KUR through the existing potential and can achieve the KUR target mandated by the government," he said.

In fact, it is reported that Bank Mandiri has received government approval regarding the addition of KUR allocations to be given to the public this year, Josephus.

"We need to inform you that our request for an additional KUR quota was approved by the government in 2021, which previously amounted to Rp31 trillion and an additional Rp4 trillion was given, so that Bank Mandiri's KUR quota in 2021 becomes Rp35 trillion," concluded Josephus
