All CGV Cinemas Closed From 12 July Due To Emergency PPKM, When Will They Open Again?

JAKARTA - PT Graha Layar Prima Tbk, the manager of the CGV cinema, has closed its cinemas throughout Indonesia as of Monday, July 12, 2021. This is because the company considers the increasing number of positive cases of COVID-19 and a number of government policies.

The temporary cessation of operations for CGV cinemas has been carried out since July 5, 2021, starting with 47 cinemas in the cities of Bandung, Cikarang, Depok, Purwokerto, Karawang, Jakarta, Surabaya, Mojokerto, South Tangerang, Tangerang, Bekasi, Kediri, Cirebon, Solo, Tegal, Yogyakarta, Gresik, Jember, Purwakarta, Madiun to Probolinggo.

"As of July 12, 2021, the company has temporarily suspended operations for all CGV cinemas located outside Java Island. Thus, today, the company has effectively suspended the operations of all CGV cinemas in all its locations," write the company statement, quoted Tuesday 13 July.

Furthermore, he said, CGV will make maximum efforts by rescheduling the schedule of films that will be aired in the near future. During the temporary closure period, his party will continue to carry out routine maintenance by taking care of all cinemas so that they are always in good condition.

"The company will also participate in implementing the government's vaccination program by appealing to the public to vaccinate, and actively vaccinating the Company's employees to provide a sense of security when people return to the cinema," explained CGV management.

CGV also hopes that when the cinema is back in operation, the public can cooperate in implementing health protocols. So that later the public can enjoy the shows and facilities that have been prepared by the cinema codenamed BLTZ shares.
