PLN Inaugurates The First Electric Vehicle Refueling Station In Eastern Indonesia

JAKARTA - PT Perusahaan Listrik Negara/State Electricity Company (PLN) continues to support the realization of the Battery-Based Electric Motor Vehicle (KBLBB) ecosystem in Indonesia. This commitment was again seen with the inauguration of the first Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) at the gates of Eastern Indonesia, namely at the Mattoanging PLN Customer Service Unit (ULP) Office, Makassar City, South Sulawesi, Friday (11/6).

Present at the event, Acting Governor of South Sulawesi, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, Director of Commerce and Customer Management of PLN, Bob Saril, Director of Regional Business for Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua, and Nusa Tenggara PLN, Syamsul Huda, Company Leaders, Electric Vehicle Users, and Local Governments other local.

The Governor of South Sulawesi, Andi Sudirman Sulaiman, appreciated PLN's commitment to supporting the KLBB era by presenting the first SPKLU in Makassar.

"The SPKLU is a sign of PLN's commitment to supporting the government in supporting the KLBB era", said Andi Sudirman Sulaiman in a written statement, Friday, June 11.

PLN's Regional Business Director for Sulawesi, Maluku, Papua, and Nusa Tenggara, Syamsul Huda said, through the presence of the first SPKLU at the gates of Eastern Indonesia, it can support the realization of an Electrifying Lifestyle among the community and support entrepreneurs who provide electric vehicles in providing electric vehicles.

"The presence of this SPKLU can support the realization of an Electrifying Lifestyle in the community and support entrepreneurs who provide electric vehicles in providing electric vehicles", said Syamsul Huda.

He also hopes that the presence of SPKLU will be able to encourage the massive use of battery-based electric vehicles.

Please note that the SPKLU Mattoanging has been equipped with 25 kiloWatt (kW) charging which allows customers to charge in just 30 minutes, for a distance of about 100 km, and has been integrated with the Charge.IN application.

The Charge.IN application is the first charging application in SPKLU for consumers who own KBLBB. With the Charge.IN application, KBLBB owners can control and monitor charging cars or electric motorcycles at charging stations or SPKLU. The PLN's Charge.IN application is available on the Google Playstore, so that currently people can enjoy the convenience of charging electric vehicles.

Not only SPKLU Mattoanging, Director of Commerce and Customer Management at PLN, Bob Saril, said that he would continue to add more SPKLU locations around the city of Makassar.

"We will also continue to add SPKLU location points in the city of Makassar, such as in Public Space, Government Offices, Shopping Centers, Tourist Locations and Rest Areas", said Bob.

One of the Electric Vehicle (EV) users, Erwin, said he was happy with the presence of the first SPKLU in Makassar.

"The presence of SPKLU in Mattoanging is able to provide the best solution for us Electric Vehicle (EV) owners while making it easier to charge electric vehicles while traveling", said Erwin.
