JAKARTA - PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN) officially collaborated with PT Pindad through the signing of a Cooperation Agreement (PKS) Loan Facility of IDR 1.5 trillion. BTN President Director Nixon LP Napitupulu said that in the midst of increasing global geopolitical uncertainty, strengthening the domestic defense industry is a strategic need to maintain sovereignty and national resilience. To support the smooth implementation of various Pindad strategic projects, BTN disbursed a Corporate Loan Facility worth IDR 1.5 trillion consisting of a Cash Loan Facility or Contractor KMK of IDR 125 billion and a Non-Cash Loan Facility in the form of Bank Guarantee, SKBDN, and LC with a sub-limit Trust Receipt of IDR 1.375 trillion.
Nixon explained that this financing support was provided to ensure the smooth running of various strategic projects of Pindad originating from Ministries and State Institutions, both from the Pure State Budget and the State Budget originating from domestic and foreign loan schemes.
In the initial phase, this funding facility will be focused on supporting several national flagship programs owned by Pindad, including the production of Maung MV3 which is a national operational vehicle that is now a state official vehicle, the production of various types of ammunition to support national defense readiness, and the production of Water Canon to support the needs of security and public order.
