Jasamarga Japek Selatan Charles Lendra said the functional scheme was focused on drivers coming from the direction of the Cipularang Toll Road so that it is expected to be able to divert part of the vehicle flow while minimizing congestion at the existing toll meeting point.
"Since March 15 yesterday, the South Japek Toll has actually been ready to be crossed even though its use for the return flow will be based on police control. However, we are still preparing ourselves," he said in Cikarang, quoting Antara.
He explained that the functional access of the return flow this year has a longer range than the 2025 homecoming period. The route that can be crossed by travelers now reaches 52 kilometers stretching from the Sadang Toll Gate (GT) on the Cipularang Route to the Setu District, Bekasi Regency.
From this point, commuters can continue their journey to "Jakarta Outer Ring Road" (JORR) 2 through the Cimanggis-Cibitung Toll Road by utilizing the exit access in Setu District.
"Currently it is not connected directly from South Japek to Cimanggis-Cibitung. But drivers can exit first through Setu then enter again into GT Burangkeng. Because the distance is very close, about 100-150 meters," he said.
He ensured that during the upcoming functional operation, drivers would not be charged additional fees. Transactions are only carried out at GT Sadang to pay the Cipularang Toll tariff, while the journey from Sadang to Setu is not charged.

In addition to the larger capacity of the gate, the arterial road from the location is directly connected to the Deltamas industrial area, making it easier for drivers to return to the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road through the GT Cikarang Center or Cibatu.
