BEKASI - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk provides a 30 percent discount on toll rates during the 2026 Lebaran homecoming and return period to help relieve traffic congestion.

The tariff reduction is valid for four days, namely two days before the peak of the homecoming and two days after the peak of the return flow.

Jasa Marga President Director Rivan A Purwantono said the discount policy was part of a program requested by the government to provide stimulus to the public while helping vehicle distribution on toll roads.

"But this way, actually, the corporate performance is certainly prepared for several programs requested by the government. For example, when asked for a discount, why is this discount carried out four days. Two before and two after (Idulfitri momentum). Of course, the corporate aspect we think about. But giving stimulus to the community is also important," said Rivan in the Media Briefing of Jasa Marga Siaga: Operational Readiness for Idulfitri 1447 H/2026 at the Jasa Marga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC) Jati Asih, Bekasi, West Java, Tuesday, March 10.

The toll rate discount for the homecoming flow is given on March 15-16, ahead of the peak homecoming flow which is projected to occur on March 18.

With the tariff reduction, the public is expected to leave early, so that there is no congestion on peak days.

In addition, the selection of the date also takes into account several other factors such as the work from anywhere (WFA) policy and the momentum of Nyepi Day on March 19, which has the potential to affect people's travel patterns.

"Why is there a discount on 15-16 (March) because we expect the departure (of the community) to be Sunday and Monday. It is not piled up because WFA is on 17 or 18 (March). Why is March 18 important to avoid being pulled forward? Because the next 19 is a new year," he said.

Meanwhile, for the Lebaran return flow, a discount on the tariff is given on March 26-27.

This policy is expected to encourage travelers to return early, so that there is no spike in vehicles at the weekend after Lebaran.

"The reverse flow after Lebaran will then appear again on Saturday and Sunday. Because we don't expect it to pile up on Saturday & Sunday, 28-29 (March), it is withdrawn to 26 and 27 (March)," he said.

According to Rivan, his party still calculates the corporate aspect and ensures that the discount does not interfere with Jasa Marga's performance.

"It doesn't have any effect, it's still okay," he said.

The 30 percent toll rate discount will apply in one direction specifically for continuous travel.

The tariff reduction applies to a number of major toll roads, namely five Trans Java sections, including Jakarta-Cikampek, MBZ Flyover, Palimanan-Kanci, Batang-Semarang and Semarang Sections A-C.

Discounts also apply to two West Java toll roads, namely Cipularang and Padaleunyi (origin or destination of Cisumdawu). Meanwhile, in the Trans Sumatra region, discounts are applied to two sections, namely the Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa (Belmera) Toll Road and the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi Toll Road.
