Record MURI, SIG Holds Training and Certification of 500 Building Experts in Five Provinces

JAKARTA - Human resource development (HRD) is the focus of the government to increase competitiveness and encourage national independence. The existence of skilled, professional, and adaptive human resources is also expected to be a strong foothold towards Indonesia's Gold 2045. PT Semen Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (SIG) in collaboration with the Professional Certification Agency (LSP) also supports the improvement of the competence of HRD in the construction sector through the Training and Certification of Building Experts program.

Followed by 500 participants, the SIG Building Expert Training and Certification program was held simultaneously on Sunday, February 1, in five regencies/cities, including Bogor Regency, West Java; Palembang City, South Sumatra; Bengkulu City, Bengkulu; Malang City, East Java; and Kendari City, Southeast Sulawesi. The SIG Building Expert Training and Certification program also managed to achieve the Record of Simultaneous Building Workers Training in the Most Provinces from the Indonesian World Record Museum (MURI).

After the implementation in the five regions, the SIG Building Expert Training and Certification program will also be held in more than 100 other regencies/cities with a target of more than 5,000 building experts.

Carrying the theme "Proud to Build Expertise, Proud to Build Indonesia", participants are equipped with basic knowledge of cement and concrete materials, occupational safety and health procedures (K3), effective and efficient construction methods, and introduction of SIG products. In addition, they were also given the opportunity to practice installing materials, to plastering. Meanwhile, the certification activity is carried out through an interview process and a direct skill test in the field.

SIG Sales and Marketing Director Dicky Saelan said, Building Expert Training and Certification proves SIG's consistency and the spirit of Bangga Bangun Indonesia which is not only realized in the construction of infrastructure, but also in the improvement of the competence of building experts as the spearhead of development so that they are more skilled, professional and certified.

Therefore, National K3 Month 2026 is an opportunity for SIG to invite building experts to increase awareness and implement the K3 aspect every time they carry out their work," said Dicky Saelan.

Dicky Saelan added, SIG is proud that the Building Expert Training and Certification Program, which was attended by hundreds of participants simultaneously in these five regencies/cities, managed to break the MURI Record which showed SIG's enthusiasm to continue to be proud of building Indonesia. "This award is motivation for all SIG Insan to continue to innovate to provide added value and benefits for partners, especially building experts," said Dicky Saelan.

In the series of Building Expert Training and Certification programs, SIG also introduced the Jago Bangunan application to participants which marked the official start of the Jago Bangunan Academy program. The Jago Bangunan application is a platform facilitated by SIG to invite building experts and professionals in the construction field to improve their competence so that they can adapt to the development of time so that they can advance and develop.

Through this application, participants can join the Jago Bangunan SIG Community and enjoy various benefits, such as access to e-learning (video and e-book), SIG product catalogs, community features, technical consultation services and calculation of the Building Budget Plan, as well as quizzes with prizes in the application. Until now, the number of members of the Jago Bangunan SIG community has reached 14,941 people.

Participant from Kemang, Bogor, West Java, Muhammad Taufik (49 years old) is very grateful to be able to participate in the SIG Building Expert Training and Certification program. This man who has been involved in the construction of buildings for more than 10 years considers this training to be important to update his knowledge in line with the development of increasingly modern and diverse construction technology and materials.

"This training is amazing. SIG has provided a lot of knowledge for various types of buildings. I usually work on building construction from the ground up, to the finish, including renovations. So this training is very important for me. Thank God there is also the Jago Bangunan application. Usually I am confused if there are obstacles to consult with whom.
