In the first two days of the Nataru Transportation period, KAI served a total of 359,616 customers, with daily details on December 18, 2025, involving 157,301 customers and December 19, 2025, as many as 202,315 customers.

For long-distance trains, ticket sales were recorded at 1,905,761 tickets, or 69.0 percent of the total capacity of 2,761,048 seats provided during the 2025 Christmas and New Year 2026 Transportation period.
"The high level of occupancy reflects the strong public interest in intercity travel using trains, supported by schedule certainty, comfort, and service coverage to various destinations," explained Anne.
Meanwhile, the sale of local train tickets reached 202,689 tickets, or 27.2 percent of the total capacity of 745,056 seats. This figure is expected to continue to increase in line with the policy of purchasing local train tickets that can be done starting from H-7 before departure.
In terms of travel destinations, the ten stations with the highest number of customers on long-distance train services include Pasarsenen, Yogyakarta, Gambir, Lempuyangan, Bekasi, Bandung, Surabaya Pasar Turi, Semarang Tawang, Surabaya Gubeng, and Purwokerto. These stations reflect the high mobility of people towards tourist destinations, cultural activity centers, and buffer areas for year-end holiday movements.
To expand people's travel options, KAI also presents a 30 percent discount program for commercial economy trains that is valid from December 22, 2025 to January 10, 2026, with a total of 1,509,080 seats provided.
