Coordinating Minister for Economic Affairs Airlangga Hartarto and Minister of Manpower Yassierli officially opened the National Handling Program for Batch II Universities Graduates at the Ministry of Manpower Office, Jakarta, Wednesday, November 26.

This program is a continuation of batch I in the series of economic stimulus packages in the fourth quarter of 2025, which aims to accelerate the transition of higher education graduates entering the labor market.

In his remarks, Airlangga said that this program is part of the government's strategy to encourage economic growth, increase investment, and expand employment in Indonesia. According to him, apprenticeship is an important step to build skills as well as the work experience of new graduates.

"This program is expected to provide skills and work experience for graduates who have just graduated in the last year," he said.

Airlangga revealed that more than 4,600 companies and 47 ministries/agencies participated in this program. The strict selection process makes only less than 10 percent of applicants accepted.

"I congratulate all the younger siblings who are here. You are the best graduates of this nation," he said.

Furthermore, Airlangga explained that the six-month internship period in this program is even longer than the employee trial period in general which is only three months. Therefore, he hopes that the national apprenticeship program can provide ample opportunities for participants to be recruited after the internship period ends.

"I ask the company leadership to provide experience and access to projects that have an impact on opening space for participants to interact with workers," he said.

He also appreciated the flexible implementation of the apprenticeship program from batch I to batch III. Airlangga emphasized the importance of a sustainable evaluation so that this program can be continued in 2026 with the company's wider participation.

Meanwhile, the Minister of Manpower Yassierli reported that batch II had recruited 62,754 interns. When combined with batch I which reached nearly 15,000 participants, the target of 100,000 participants is getting closer to achieving.

"Alhamdulillah, this morning we have carried out the kick-off of the national internship for college graduates for batch II. For the 100,000 target, we still have a quota," he said.

On this occasion the Minister of Manpower announced that batch III registration has been open since November 24, 2025. Registration for companies, government agencies, and partner institutions runs until the middle of next week, before entering the selection stage. batch III which is scheduled to start December 15, 2025.
