Explaining The Contents Of The Meeting With Jonan, Prabowo Admits There Was A Discussion On Rights

JAKARTA - President Prabowo Subianto revealed the conversation with former Minister of Transportation Ignasius Jonan. He said the meeting discussed many things.

For your information, Ignasius Jonan's meeting with Prabowo took place on Monday, November 3. The second meeting lasted up to 2 hours.

"Yes, we are exchanging views, I think he is a figure, a national figure, so I am always happy to meet and exchange views in many ways," he said at Tanah Abang Station, Jakarta, Tuesday, November 4.

Prabowo also confirmed that the meeting was related to the Jakarta-Bandung high-speed rail project known as

"Yes, we always talk," he said.

In addition, Prabowo also expressed his desire for the Fast Train project to be continued until Banyuwangi, East Java.

"I ask not only Surabaya. Banyuwangi, Banyuwangi. Surabaya was in the past, now Banyuwangi," he said.

Previously, President Prabowo Subianto summoned the former Minister of Transportation (Menhub) as well as the former President Director of KAI, Ignasius Jonan, to the Merdeka Palace, Jakarta, on Monday, November 3. The meeting lasted for about two hours.

Jonan revealed that during the meeting he was advised and asked to convey his views by President Prabowo regarding the implementation of a number of government programs.

"We did ask for time to share. As citizens, we discussed the programs he has run so far," Jonan told reporters.

According to Jonan, the meeting also discussed several government-seeded programs, such as free meals (MBG), village/restrictions of Merah Putih (Kopdes/Kopkel Merah Putih) cooperatives, and people's schools.

He assessed that these programs had a positive impact on small communities and played an important role in equitable national economy.

"Personal programs, such as MBG, the Red and White Kopdes, and people's schools have good economic multiplier effects for the community," he explained.

In addition, Jonan also praised President Prabowo's work in foreign diplomacy and the development of State-Owned Enterprises (BUMN).

"We are also sharing about his active role in foreign diplomacy and the development of SOEs for the benefit of the nation," he said.

When asked about the polemic of the Jakarta-Bandung Train project (KCJB) or warehousing, Jonan emphasized that the issue was not discussed at all. "No, I don't discuss high-speed trains. I didn't ask for input about that," said Jonan.
