Kemenkop Targets Operationalization Of 80,000 Kopdes Rampung March 2026

JAKARTA - Minister of Cooperatives (Menkop) Ferry Juliantono targets as many as 80,000 units of the Red and White Village/Sub-District Cooperative (Kopdes/Kel) whose legality has been formed to be fully operational by March 2026.

Ferry explained that President Prabowo wanted the operation of the Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih to be carried out as soon as possible, but because not all Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih have warehouses/fills and supporting infrastructures, the stage before being operated needs to be accelerated in the construction of these physical assets.

"In March 2026, we hope that all outlets and warehouses will be completed, God willing, in March 2026 the operation target of the Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih can run well," Ferry said in a statement to the media, Tuesday, October 21.

Ferry added that currently the Task Force (Satgas) team for the Acceleration of the Establishment of 80,000 Kopdes/Gel Merah Putih is working extra hard to achieve this target. The Ministry/Institution coordinated by the Coordinating Minister for Food Zulkifli Hasan continues to be racing against time so that President Prabowo Subianto's hopes to encourage economic growth in villages through the Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih Program can be achieved immediately.

As a step to accelerate the process of building physical assets in the form of outlets and warehouses of Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih, all teams in the Task Force and also regional coordinators are empowered to map idle lands in each village for the construction of the building. Then for the construction of assets to working capital, a loan ceiling of up to IDR 3 billion will be disbursed for each Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih.

"We have now started to inventory the soil data, the assumption is that now we can get at least a thousand points of land in the villages per day. Anyway, once there is a point of land, it is immediately built (cavities and warehouses)," said Ferry.

In addition, the Ministry of Cooperatives (Kemenkop) has deployed a Business Assistant and also a Project Manager Officer (PMO) who will be responsible for 10 Kopdes in each region.

Their task will be optimized to support the operation of the Kopdes/Kel Merah Putih to run well, especially after it is effective in operation.

Through full cross-K/L support and other relevant stakeholders, Menkop Ferry is optimistic that President Prabowo's big ambition to restore the community's economic system based on mutual cooperation through the Red and White Kopdes/Kel will be achieved as soon as possible.

"The spirit of cross-ministerial collaboration, especially with the Coordinating Minister (Zulkifli Hasan), makes everything that was considered difficult and heavy will be easier," said the Coordinating Minister.
