BOGOR - Minister of Finance Purbaya Yudhi Sadive stated that there is a possibility that the remaining funds will be diverted from Rp200 trillion which has not been absorbed by a number of state-owned enterprise (BUMN) banks, including PT Bank Tabungan Negara (Persero) Tbk (BTN), whose absorption is considered low.

Purbaya said that BTN previously received an allocation of government funds of Rp. 25 trillion.

However, until now, he continued, the realization of the new distribution is estimated at around Rp. 10 trillion.

"We estimate that with the current situation, from the latest figure it can be IDR 10 (trillion). Maybe IDR 15 (trillion) I will distribute it to other places if they can't do it every time," he said in the Media Gathering of the 2026 State Budget, Friday, October 10.

He added that BTN previously expressed confidence that it would be able to absorb all the allocations of funds.

However, based on the latest data, the realization of the distribution did not match the initial expectations.

"As far as I remember, those who were the most optimistic were less than Rp. 25 trillion, it will run out soon. From the latest data it turned out to be like that," he said.

Even so, Purbaya will still wait for the results of direct talks with BTN management before making a final decision regarding the placement of the remaining funds.

"I will ask them, can they absorb the rest. If it's only Rp10 (trillion) it's too small. Wait for my meeting with BTN later, what the conditions will be," he explained.
