10 Million Workers Are Targeted To Participate In Mutual Cooperation Vaccination, Minister Of Trade Lutfi Asks Entrepreneurs To Care About Workers

JAKARTA - The government through the Ministry of Trade has set a target of 10 million workers to participate in the Mutual Cooperation vaccination program through the company where they work.

The Minister of Trade (Mendag) Muhammad Lutfi said that it was hoped that the number could be achieved through several stages of vaccination.

"We encourage entrepreneurs to work hand in hand with the government in breaking the chain of the spread of COVID-19 through the Mutual Cooperation vaccination program for their employees or workers," he said in a virtual press statement, Tuesday, May 18.

According to the Trade Minister, the success of the vaccination program is the key to the success of economic recovery.

"Through vaccination in the business and industrial sectors, it will bring confidence for the creation of maximum production activities," he said.

For your information, the Minister of Trade M. Lutfi gave this statement to a private company in the Jababeka industrial area, Bekasi and also accompanied President Joko Widodo at the same event.

Previously, the Chairman of the Indonesian Chamber of Commerce and Industry (Kadin) Rosan Roeslani said that the Mutual Cooperation vaccination program was worth Rp1 million for twice the injection doses charged to business owners. He said that 78 percent of employers were able to fulfill vaccinations for workers.

"It's still okay, we have a survey that is not burdensome," he said.

Rosan even gave another positive signal by revealing that business actors could get a lower price of Rp. 750,000 if the company had its own health facilities, such as a complete hospital with doctors and medical personnel.

"If you have your own health facility, it can be cheaper, but it must really meet the requirements of the Ministry of Health (Ministry of Health)," he explained.
