Pertagas Distributes 290,000 MMSCF Gas And 31 Million Barrels Of Oil Throughout Semester I-2025

PT Pertamina Gas (Pertagas) recorded gas distribution of 290,000 Million Standard Cubic Feet (MMSCF) and oil of 31 million barrels of oil during the first semester of 2025.

Director of Engineering and Operations, Agung Indri Pramantyo, said that the volume of gas and oil transportation managed by Pertagas continues to increase.

Throughout the first semester of 2025, gas transportation reached approximately 290,000 MMSCF which was driven by the optimization of absorption from industrial activities in North Sumatra, South Sumatra, West Java, East Java, and Kalimantan. Pertagas has also succeeded in distributing oil transportation volume of approximately 31 million BBL, in line with additional supplies from upstream wells, "explained Agung, Thursday, September 18.

He explained that the increase was supported by 343 kilometers of Rokan Oil Pipes. Since operating in 2022, this pipe has become the lifeblood of oil distribution from the Rokan Block, one of the largest oil producers in Indonesia.

In addition to the maintained flow of oil, its existence has also brought local economic benefits since the development period until now, it has been fully operational, ranging from employment to community empowerment through the CSR program.

Commercial Director, Ryrien Marisa, added that the integrated infrastructure of Pertagas is the backbone of energy distribution throughout Indonesia.

"Currently, Pertagas has 71 industrial customers including electricity, fertilizer, petrochemicals, oleochemicals, steel, ceramics, glass, to a city gas network (city gas), more than 17,000 MSMEs, and 270,000 households throughout Indonesia," explained Ryrien.

In addition to the main transmission pipeline network, Pertagas also relies on subsidiary synergies and joint ventures. In the first half, Perta Samtan Gas recorded a production of approximately 62,000 tons of LPG thanks to optimization of processing facilities, while Perta Arun Gas realized LNG regasification of approximately 26,000 BBTU, to support the energy needs of the electricity and fertilizer sector in Sumatra.
