Raffi Ahmad Reminds Young People To Be Wise In Managing Money, Don't Get Stuck In Pinjol Easily

JAKARTA - The Presidential Special Envoy for the Development of the Young Generation and Art Workers, Raffi Ahmad reminded young people to be wise in managing finances. Especially, in applying for credit both in banks and through online loans (pinjol).

Raffi also reminded young people not to be easily influenced by the consumptive lifestyle that is often exhibited on social media (sosmed). He said young people must learn to adjust between desires and financial abilities.

"I appeal to all young people who want to apply for credit at banks or online loans, most importantly they must be adjusted to their own capacity. Don't eat with social media. So we like to hang out, want this, want it," he said at the Indonesia Summit 2025 event, in Jakarta, Wednesday, August 27.

According to Raffi, it will be very dangerous if young people are unable to measure their financial capacity. This is because the risk of default is getting higher and leads to online gambling practices (judol).

"If he can't regulate himself according to his capacity, don't go to the loan," he said.

On the other hand, Raffi also invites young people to continue to adapt and be more creative in the midst of the rapid development of the times.

According to him, the opportunity to achieve income is now wide open in various sectors.

Lebih lanjut, Raffi mengatakan, usaha apapun bisa selama mau menjalankannya. Dia bilang mau membuka usaha kecil di bidang makanan bisa, bahkan jualan online secara langsung atau live shopping juga bisa menambah pendapatan.

“Anak muda itu semuanya harus kreatif. Semuanya memulai lagi dari nol, memulai lagi UMKM, restoran yang kecil juga gak masalah. Restoran kecil bisa menjadi besar. Sekarang ada live shopping. Mereka bisa cari uang juga, bisa mencari rezeki juga,” katanya.

Furthermore, Raffi said, any business can be done as long as you want to run it. He said he wanted to open a small business in the food sector, even selling online directly or live shopping can also increase income.

"Young people all have to be creative. Everything starts again from scratch, starting again MSMEs, restaurants that are small are also not a problem. Small restaurants can be big. Now there is a live shopping. They can make money too, they can look for sustenance too," he said.
