Synergy Of The Ministry Of PKP-BI Continues To Be Strengthened, Accelerate Realization Of The 3 Million Houses Program

JAKARTA - Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP), Maruarar Sirait (Ara), and Governor of Bank Indonesia (BI) Perry Warjiyo agreed to strengthen synergies to realize the 3 Million House Program launched by President Prabowo Subianto.

The agreement was discussed in his second meeting at the PKP Ministry Office, Jakarta, Friday, August 8, 2025.

The collaboration is believed to be able to encourage national economic growth as well as open up more jobs for the community.

"The support of Bank Indonesia is a form of good synergy for the Program of 3 Million Presidential Houses Prabowo Subianto," said Ara in a written statement, Saturday, August 9, 2025.

Moreover, said Ara, based on existing data, the implementation of housing development can encourage the industrial sector and create jobs for the community.

"So, the 3 Million Houses Program as directed by President Prabowo also needs to involve various parties, including synergizing (with) BI," he said.

Meanwhile, BI Governor Perry emphasized that his party had distributed support through two mechanisms.

First, providing liquidity incentives to banks that distribute housing loans, including minimum mandatory demand relief (GWM) of IDR 80 trillion which has begun to be distributed.

Second, supporting public housing funding through the purchase of Government Government Securities (SBN) worth IDR 155 trillion, of which around IDR 45 trillion is directed at the housing sector.

According to Perry, the people's housing sector is BI's priority because it has three main impacts, namely improving people's welfare, encouraging economic growth, and creating large jobs.

"If housing progresses, demand for building materials, such as sand, cement, iron, and tiles also increases. So, it drives many other sectors," he said.

In the future, continued Perry, his party and the Ministry of PKP are committed to strengthening the implementation of this support so that the benefits will be felt by the community and be able to accelerate the achievement of national housing development targets.

"So that BI's support for the Government's Astacita program, especially public housing, is more effective, implemented, and can continue to prosper the people, especially in the housing sector," he said.
