Outspoken! The Ministry Of PKP Calls The Construction Of 3 Million Houses Not Roaded

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) admits that it has not realized the development to support the 3 Million Houses Program made by President Prabowo Subianto.

Director General of Urban Housing of the Ministry of PKP Sri Haryati said the government in the first year still relied on the distribution of Housing Financing Liquidity Facilities (FLPP) subsidies as contributors to the realization of the program.

"The program of 3 million houses as we know it is impossible for the government to carry out it," Sri said when met after the BP Tapera Sarasehan event in Jakarta, Thursday, July 17.

Sebagai langkah evaluasi penerapan 3 juta rumah pada tahun berikutnya, kata Sri, saat ini pihaknya tengah membuat dashboard laporan pengembangan rumah.

Later, he continued, the dashboard will contain housing development data, both run by the central government, local governments and institutions, such as the People's Housing Savings Management Agency (BP Tapera).

In addition, Sri said, the realization of the 3 Million House Program was also carried out through the Self-Help Housing Stimulant Assistance (BSPS) program.

"Well, the data collection is still ongoing and continues to be carried out at this time. Well, later on, at the launch of the dashboard, it will be delivered," he said.

Meanwhile, at this time, the realization of the distribution of FLPP houses was only 129,773 units or about 37 percent of the total quota of 350,000 units.

This means that until the end of December, the government needs to distribute as many as 220,227 units.

Previously, the Minister of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP) Maruarar Sirait (Ara) proposed an additional budget for 2026 of IDR 48 trillion.

Meanwhile, the effective ceiling of the budget received by the Ministry of PKP is IDR 1.8 trillion next year.

"We propose an additional Rp48 trillion budget for 2026, so that the indicative ceiling is Rp49.8 trillion," said Ara at a Working Meeting (Raker) with Commission V DPR RI at the Parliament Complex, Senayan, Jakarta, Thursday, July 10.

Ara menjelaskan, usulan tambahan anggaran tersebut akan digunakan untuk Bantuan Stimulan Perumahan Swadaya (BSPS) senilai Rp45,55 triliun dengan target dua juta unit.

"We ask for prayers and support from friends of Commission V. We propose from the proposed budget of Rp45.55 trillion or 91.37 percent for the BSPS budget with a target of two million housing units in 2026," he said.

Meanwhile, the remaining proposed additional budget of IDR 4.30 trillion will be used to support the achievement of the development and renovation targets of 3 million houses.
