Danantara Boss Removes Edi Slamet Irianto From The Position Of Business Director Agrinas

JAKARTA - Edi Slamet Irianto, Director of Business and Industrial Development of PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) was dismissed from his post on Tuesday, July 1. The news of this dismissal was also confirmed by Edi.

"It is true that I have been dismissed from my position as Director of Business and Industrial Development of PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero)," said Edi in his statement, Wednesday, July 2.

Edi revealed that his dismissal from the position of Director of Business and Industrial Development of PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara (Persero) was conveyed by the Assistant Deputy (Asdep) of the Plantation Industry of the Ministry of SOEs Faturahman.

"I received this dismissal a few hours after the GMS through a zoom meeting with Mr. Faturahman Asdep of the Plantation Industry, TMT (starting on) July 1, 2025," he said.

Furthermore, Edi said that his dismissal letter was signed by the Nagata Nusantara Investment Management Agency (BPI Danaantara) or Danantara Indonesia.

"The letter of dismissal was signed by the Managing Director of Operations Holding Danantara Dony Oskaria," he said.

According to Edi, the appointment and dismissal of fourth-red contingent officials is the prerogative of the leadership even though this is considered not based on applicable regulations and regulations.

The reason is, referring to the letter number S-049/DI-BP/VI/2025 dated June 23, 2025, addressed to the President Director of BUMN and its subsidiaries who have not implemented the GMS until June 30, 2026, they are not allowed to reshuffle the company's management until there is an evaluation from BPI Danantara or Danantara Asset Management (DAM).

"The appointment and dismissal are the prerogatives of the leadership, although I do not value this based on applicable provisions and regulations. For example, the Head of BPI Danantara through letter Number: S-049/DI-BP/VI/2025 dated June 23, 2025, is not allowed to reshuffle or replace BUMN management," he said.

Even so, Edi expressed his gratitude to the President Director of the Board of Directors, Komut and the board of commissioners as well as all parties, for their good cooperation, accompanied by apologizing for all the mistakes during the interaction.

"I hope that all business partners of PT Agrinas Palma will continue to improve constructive cooperation with substitute officials," he said.

Edi also hopes that PT Agrinas Palma Nusantara can realize President Prabowo Subianto's high hopes of achieving self-sufficiency in energy and supporting food security through the production of cooking oil and animal protein in 2028.
