Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana said the number was the cumulative number of traffic flows (traffic) from the four Main Toll Gates (GT), namely Cikampek Utama GT (towards Trans Java), Kalihurip Utama GT (towards Bandung), Cikupa GT (towards Merak) and Ciawi GT (towards Puncak).

"The total volume of traffic leaving the Jabotabek area increased by 17.8 percent when compared to the Eid Al-Fitr 2024 holiday period, which was 389,645 vehicles, an increase of 1.7 percent when compared to normal traffic of 451,577 vehicles," said Lisye in a written statement, Monday, March 24.

For the distribution of traffic leaving Jabotabek towards all three directions, namely the majority of 209,707 vehicles or 45.7 percent heading East (Trans Java and Bandung), 144,202 vehicles or 31.4 percent headed for the West (Merak) and 105,238 vehicles or 22.9 percent headed for the South (Puncak).

Lisye detailed that traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Trans Java via GT Cikampek Utama Jakarta Toll Road Cikampek reached 113,248 vehicles, an increase of 30.3 percent compared to normal traffic.

Then, the total traffic leaving Jabotabek heading towards Bandung via the Kalihurip Utama GT Cipularang Toll Road reached 96,459 vehicles or 12 percent lower than normal traffic.

"The total traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Trans Java and Bandung through the two GTs is 209,707 vehicles, an increase of 6.7 percent from normal traffic," he said.

Then, traffic leaving Jabotabek towards Merak via the Cikupa GT Tangerang Toll Road Merak is 144,202 vehicles or an increase of 0.5 percent from normal traffic.

"Meanwhile, the number of vehicles leaving Jabotabek towards Puncak via GT Ciawi Jagorawi Toll Road is 105,238 vehicles, 5.7 percent lower than normal traffic," said Lisye.

He explained, on the D-8 Eid Al-Fitr 1446 Hijri holiday, traffic leaving Jabotabek at four main toll gates was recorded at 134,074 vehicles, an increase of 5.3 percent from normal traffic, which was 127,360 vehicles.

In addition, said Lisye, his party also noted that there was an increase in vehicles towards the eastern and western regions, especially traffic flows towards Trans Java and Merak on Sunday, March 23, with a total of 36,979 vehicles, an increase of 48.1 percent from normal traffic, namely 24,969 vehicles.

Meanwhile, for Merak direction, a total of 42,186 vehicles were recorded, an increase of 0.5 percent from normal traffic, namely 41,985 vehicles.
