JAKARTA - The Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) of the Ministry of Public Works (PU) said that there may be an increase in tariffs on a number of toll roads this year.
Head of BPJT Miftachul Munir said that the toll tariff increase would include dozens of toll roads managed by PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR).
"Jasa Marga is quite a lot too, but I don't memorize it. Maybe if I'm not mistaken there are more than 12 (toll road sections), around 12 or 14," Munir said when met at the PU Ministry office, Jakarta, Friday, March 21.
In addition, Munir said, a number of other toll roads that will increase tariffs include the Tangerang 'Merak Toll Road managed by Astra Infra Group to the Soreang'Pasirkoja Toll Road managed by PT Citra Marga Lintas Jabar (CMLJ).
Even so, Munir could not confirm whether the toll tariff increase would be carried out during the Eid al-Fitr 1446 Hijri or Lebaran 2025 homecoming period which would take place in the near future.
"There are several sections that actually should have gone up the tariff, but have not been increased because of the Lebaran moment. (This year) many have increased in tariffs," he said.
