Terminal 2F Soetta Officially Becomes Umrah Aviation Service Center Starting Today

JAKARTA - Terminal 2F Soekarno-Hatta Airport (Soetta) officially became the center of Umrah flights today.

This means that the departure and arrival of all flights on the Jeddah and Madinah direct routes will be served through the 2F terminal.

For your information, since early January 2025, Terminal 2F itself has indeed served unscheduled or charter flights to Jeddah and Medina.

InJourney Airports President Director Faik Fahmi said, not only Umrah, this terminal will also become a center for Hajj flight services.

Faik said, one of the peaks of this process is the start of the operation of all Garuda Indonesia (catter and regular) flights on the Jakarta-Jeddah and Jakarta-Madinah and Jeddah-Jakarta and Medina-Jakarta routes, at Terminal 2F starting Friday, March 21, 2025. Previously, this route was served by Garuda Indonesia at Terminal 3.

The Garuda Indonesia flights on March 21 at Terminal 2F were GA990 on the Jakarta-Jeddah route, GA 981 on the Jeddah-Jakarta route, GA 983 on the Jeddah-Jakarta route and GA 969 on the Medina-Jakarta route.

"This is an important achievement in realizing Terminal 2F of Soekarno-Hatta Airport as a special terminal for Umrah and Hajj to provide a more comfortable and solemn travel experience for Umrah pilgrims," said Faik in an official statement, Friday, March 21.

After the full integration of Garuda Indonesia flights to and from the holy land, continued Faik, Terminal 2F will then welcome Saudia Airlines flights.

Through the transformation program, continued Faik, InJourney Airports presents infrastructure and various facilities at Terminal 2F to facilitate congregations such as a mosque covering an area of 3,000 square meters, a lounge which also has an area of 3,000 square meters, as well as a special area for introductory families.

In addition, Terminal 2F is also designed with aesthetics that combine modern and natural elements, reflected in counter check-in designs, waiting areas, and other facilities.

"We thank the Ministry of SOEs, Ministry of Transportation, the wider community, airlines, AirNav Indonesia Immigration, Customs and Excise Offices, Quarantine and other parties for their support in making Terminal 2F a flight center for Umrah and Hajj pilgrims," said Faik.

He also said that the arrangement of services and operations at Terminal 2F of Soekarno-Hatta Airport is part of an effort to improve the Umrah and Hajj service system in Indonesia so that it becomes more comfortable for the community, transparent and accountable, according to President Prabowo's direction.
