Jasa Marga Predicts 2.18 Million Vehicles To Do The 2025 Eid Homecoming Flow

BEKASI - PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk (JSMR) projects that as many as 2.18 million vehicles will carry out homecoming during the Lebaran 2025 holiday.

Jasa Marga's Corporate Communication and Community Development Group Head Lisye Octaviana said this figure increased by 1.1 percent when compared to the homecoming flow on the Eid holiday last year.

"The projected traffic out of Jakarta through the Cikampek Toll Gate (GT), Kalihurip Utama GT, Ciawi GT and Cikupa GT as many as 2.18 million vehicles, up 1.1 percent compared to the 2024 period," said Lisye at the Jasa Marga Alert press conference: Idulfitri 1446 Hijri Operational Readiness at the Jasa Marga Tollroad Command Center office, Jatiasih, Bekasi, West Java, Wednesday, March 19.

In detail, 404,000 vehicles will leave Jakarta via GT Ciawi, 568,000 vehicles will leave Jakarta via GT Cikupa, 793.000 vehicles via GT Cikampek Utama (Cikatama) and 413.000 via GT Kalihurip Utama.

"Of the four main toll gates, there are 2.18 million vehicles for the number of crossings leaving Jakarta," he said.

Meanwhile, Lisye predicts that the peak of the homecoming flow will take place on Friday, March 28, along with the appeal of work from anywhere (WFA) and also the joint leave of Eid al-Fitr.

"There is already information on joint leave and WFA policy. This is our indicator in making predictions. Our prediction is that the peak of the homecoming flow itself will occur on March 28, 2025," said Lisye.

In order to support the smooth flow of traffic during the Lebaran homecoming, Jasa Marga has prepared a number of strategies. First, from the safety aspect.

Lisye said Jasa Marga supports traffic engineering efforts according to the Joint Decree (SKB) issued by the government.

"We make sure that this infrastructure and facilities have been prepared safely. Especially for contraflow, we have added the number of rubber cones and are tighter. Then, there are signs that are also adjusted according to standards," explained Lisye.

Second, from the aspect of traffic regulation. According to Lisye, his party will also operate vehicles to patrol regularly.

"Then we also coordinate with the Ministry of Transportation and the police to ensure that vehicles areworthy to enter toll roads," he said.

The third is from the aspect of road preservation or repair. Lisye ensured that Jasa Marga's managed toll road section was in a stable condition with the monitoring of 36 CCTV units to detect incidents or accidents early.

"Then, in terms of increasing smoothness, we have also made several efforts. In fact, previously, yes, even when we Nataru yesterday, it was also one of the capacity improvements prepared for Eid this year," he concluded.
