JAKARTA - Minister of Agrarian Affairs and Spatial Planning/Head of the National Land Agency (ATR/BPN), Nusron Wahid emphasized that land on bodies and river boundaries is state land.

"The border and river bodies are state land," said Nusron Wahid as quoted by ANTARA, Monday, March 17.

This country's land is owned by the river authority, and river authority can be managed by the Directorate General of Water Resources (SDA) of the Ministry of Public Works through the River Basin Center or BBWS, Perum Jasa Tirta, or Management of Water Resources (PSDA) in West Java.

"Therefore, the Governor of West Java is committed to facilitating the financing of certification on behalf of each," said Nusron.

The Ministry of ATR will later issue a Land Management Rights (HPL) certificate for rivers under BBWS on behalf of the Ministry of Public Works, then the river under the management of Perum Jasa Tirta on behalf of Perum Jasa Tirta, and the river under the West Java PSDA on behalf of the Provincial Government.

"So that one day someone else will no longer occupy the place can certify and not occupy the land, because there is already a owner and there is a reason," said Nusron.

For information, West Java Governor Dedi Mulyadi together with ATR/BPN Minister Nusron Wahid who discussed land management in watersheds resulted in a decision by the border or riverbanks in West Java to be claimed by the state.

Dedi said the ministry was also committed to issuing a river border certificate which would later be held by the regional river hall. Thus, there are no more individuals or companies that claim and take care of certificates.

Meanwhile, the Minister of ATR/BPN Nusron Wahid explained that the land in the river border, if the certificate has not been issued, will be designated as state property with the manager, namely the local Regional River Center (BBWS).
