Cikiwul Champion Asks THR To A Number Of Companies In Bekasi, Threatens To Close Roads

BEKASI Polres Metro Bekasi Kota managed to arrest a man with the initials S (47) who was suspected of extortion accompanied by threats with the proposal mode Hari Raya Allowance (THR) in the Bantar Gebang area, Bekasi City.

Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Bekasi City Metro Police, Kompol Binsar Hatorangan Sianturi, revealed that the perpetrator was arrested at his escape in Sukabumi on Thursday, March 20, at around 18.30 WIB.

This incident began when S and his colleagues visited a company in Bantar Gebang on Monday, March 17 to ask for a follow-up to the proposal he had submitted. The proposal is related to requests for participation money for Ramadan activities.

When the request was not granted, S was angry and threatened the company's security guard who was blocking him. He even claimed to be a "jagoan" in the Cikiwul area and threatened to close the road around the company if it was not allowed to meet the company leadership.

"The perpetrator threatened by saying he was a champion in Cikiwul and threatened to close the road if his wishes were not fulfilled. The incident was recorded by a security guard friend for three minutes and 12 seconds," explained Kompol Binsar.

According to the perpetrator's confession, he and his colleagues have spread dozens of similar proposals to various companies around Bantar Gebang. The money obtained from the proposal is said to be used to support organizational operational activities during Ramadan.

The Arrest Process And The Subjected Article

After the report was received from the company leadership, the police immediately conducted an investigation and finally managed to arrest the perpetrator in Sukabumi.

Pelaku S dijerat dengan Pasal 368 jo. Pasal 53 KUHP dan/atau Pasal 335 KUHP tentang tindak pidana percobasan pemerasan dan perbuatan dengan ancaman kekerasan. Ancaman hukumannya mencapai kurungan maksimal sembilan tahun penjara.

Previously, a viral video on Instagram social media uploaded by the @peristiwa_bekasi account showed the perpetrator intimidating the company's security guard in a high tone.

"I'm the champion of Cikiwul. I want to meet your boss. If not, I have a lot of people, I want to close this road," said the perpetrator in the video.

The police are still investigating this case to investigate whether any other parties were involved in a similar mode.
