PT Pelayaran Nasional Indonesia Persero (Pelni) said that tickets for free homecoming for Lebaran 2025 sea transportation with the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) still have 32 percent left.
President Director of Pelni Tri Handayani said the total free ticket capacity provided by Pelni was 9,250 quotas.
However, currently, only 6,254 quota tickets have been ordered or 68 percent.
"There is still a 32 percent slot for the Ministry of Transportation's free tickets, so that it is used properly by the community," said Handayani as quoted by ANTARA, Thursday, March 13.
These free tickets can be ordered through the official Pelni and the Ministry of Transportation websites.
In addition, Pelni also participated in the BUMN Free Homecoming by providing 3,200 quotas.
"However, all of this has been booked. As of today, we have added 200 paxes from Pelindo," said Handayani.
This year's Eid, Pelni will operate 25 passenger ships and 30 pioneer ships. The total transport capacity reaches 60,212 seats, including the capacity dispensation.
The number of ticket availability during the Eid 2025 period reached 781,723 tickets. The projected number of passengers this year is estimated to reach 644,102 people, up 0.4 percent compared to the previous year which was recorded at 641,013 people.
The projected peak homecoming flow occurred on March 26, 2025 with 26,820 passengers and the peak of backflow is predicted to occur on April 7, 2025 with 30,443 passengers.
Meanwhile, there are five places that are projected to become the most populous ports, namely Makassar 46,498 passengers, Balikpapan 35,358 passengers, Ambon 33,074 passengers, Bau-Bau 32,254 passengers, and Batam 27,039 passengers.
