Inspection At Solo Market, Minister Of Agriculture Again Finds Oilita Not In Accordance With The Takaran

SOLO (Ministry of Agriculture) has again found that people's oil in packaging or Oilita is not in accordance with the dose in the sudden inspection (sidak) activity at Gede Hardjonagoro Market, Solo, Tuesday, March 11.

Two manufacturers were found to reduce the volume of oil in packaging, namely PT Kusuma Mukti Remaja, which should have been 1 liter containing only 900 milliliters and Minita produced by PT Salim Ivomas Pratama, the volume was only less than 50 milliliters than it should have been.

Minister of Agriculture Andi Amran Sulaiman emphasized that the government will continue to closely monitor trade practices that harm the community. We will not remain silent. This is better than the previous findings, but still no one should play with the rights of the people. If the HET is appropriate, then the measure must also be appropriate. Don't let the people be harmed by cheating practices like this," he said in a written statement.

Although the condition is better than the previous findings, where the volume reduction can reach 25 percent, according to him, this is still intolerable.

"Security is starting to increase. Yesterday we found that there is less than 25 percent, now it is only 5-10 percent. But this still needs to be improved. The Food Task Force must investigate why there is still a reduction in this dose. We will follow up so that there are no more practices like this," said Amran.

Amran also asked the Food Task Force (Satgas) who participated in the inspection to follow up on this case to producers. The reason is, cooking oil is the basic need of the community, especially in the month of Ramadan so that no party should play cheating for their own benefit.

On March 8, the Minister of Agriculture also carried out similar activities at Pasar Jaya Lenteng Agung, South Jakarta. There, an inappropriate dose of Oilita from 1 liter contains only 800 milliliters.

The oil is produced by PT Artha Eka Global Asia, the Cooperatives of MSME Producers of the Archipelago Integrated Cooperative (KTN), and PT Tunasagro Indolestari. In addition to the inappropriate volume, the selling price also exceeds the Highest Retail Price (HET) set by the government. Although in written packages the price is Rp. 15,700 per liter, this oil is sold at a price of Rp. 18,000 per liter.
