PTPP Strengthens Health Portfolio By Construction Of Harapan Kita Hospital - Tokushukai Worth IDR 863.8 Billion

JAKARTA - PT PP (Persero) Tbk (PTPP), one of the construction and investment companies in Indonesia, has again shown its commitment to supporting the improvement of health services in Indonesia through the construction project of Harapan Kita Hospital - Tokushukai.

With a contract value of IDR 863.8 billion (before VAT) and an implementation period of 669 calendar days, this project is expected to become one of the icons of modern and high-tech hospitals in the country.

In this development, PTPP as the main contractor in the Joint Operation (JO) with a proportional value of 70 percent. Meanwhile, the current project progress has reached 5.49 percent. The project, which started on November 21, 2024 and is planned to be completed on September 21, 2026, has the main objective of improving the quality of health services, service capacity, and patient safety.

The Indonesian Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin at the groundbreaking some time ago, hopes that the collaboration with the Tokushukai Medical Group which has been established for more than 20 years can continue, especially through the exchange of knowledge and specialist doctors between Indonesia and Japan. Reminded by the Minister of Health, RSJPD Harapan Kita has an important task that must be completed, namely to become a center of heart disease services throughout Indonesia.

It should be noted that PTPP has a solid track record in the construction of health facilities in Indonesia, as evidenced by the success of projects such as Dharmais Hospital, Adhyaksa Banten Hospital, UPT Vertical Hospital Makassar, Hasan Sadikin Hospital, and Bali International Hospital (BIH). So that the construction of Harapan Kita Hospital - Tokushukai will strengthen the portfolio of PTPP in the health sector, by presenting modern and futuristic designs that prioritize patient comfort.

PTPP Corporate Secretary, Joko Raharjo said this project is clear evidence of the company's commitment to supporting the government to improve health infrastructure in Indonesia.

"With the experience we have from previous projects, we are optimistic that we can complete the construction of Harapan Kita Hospital - Tokushukai on time and with the best quality," said Joko, in a written statement, Monday, March 10.

Joko further explained that the Harapan Kita Hospital construction project - Tokushukai has various innovations such as the use of advanced technology and materials for development, for example the use of facades that can reduce the effects of heat from outside, and later this hospital will have advanced health technology including health information systems and modern medical equipment.

From an architectural point of view, this building is designed to be environmentally friendly with energy-efficient technology. Complete health facilities, ranging from operating rooms, cathlab rooms, inpatient rooms, to modern diagnosis facilities, are expected to be able to improve Harapan Kita Hospital status to one of the best hospitals in Indonesia. These various innovations are implemented in line with the concept of Our Hope' and the philosophy of Tokushukai which is promoted is to become a hospital that prioritizes high quality services and provides hope for patients.

Joko added that not only focusing on physical facilities, this project also pays attention to improving the quality of human resources (HR) through the construction of training facilities for medical personnel. It is hoped that this step will be able to support better and more professional health services.
