Spirit Of Concern: Employees Of JOYDAY Producers Share Support With Patients At Sarah's Father's Friends Foundation

JAKARTA - Each individual faces different challenges of life, and many of them require attention and support from the surrounding environment to deal with it. Likewise with patients who are struggling with severe health conditions.

Not only focusing on medical treatment, they also need strong psychological support, which can be obtained from family, friends, and the surrounding community. This is the basis for Yili Indonesia Dairy (YID) as a producer of JOYDAY to foster a sense of social sensitivity among its employees.

Towards the holy month of Ramadan, JOYDAY invited several YID employees, ranging from staff to managerial levels, to participate in social activities with patients at the Sahabat Sarah's Father Foundation. This activity is part of the annual routine program carried out by JOYDAY, which aims to foster a sense of concern for the surrounding environment, as well as provide moral support to those in need, especially children who are undergoing treatment.

President Director Yili Indonesia Dairy, Yu Miao, stated that his party believes that the existence of JOYDAY is not only to advance business, but also to make a positive contribution to the community.

"Through this joint activity with the Sahabat Sarah Foundation, we want to strengthen our sense of concern and social sensitivity among our employees. We hope that by carrying out this activity, we can better understand the challenges faced by patients, and participate in providing support that can ease their burden," he said, in a written statement, Friday, February 28.

Yu Miao also added that the social support provided by JOYDAY was part of the company's commitment to participate in improving the quality of life of the community.

"Since a few years ago, JOYDAY has routinely provided support to patients. This year we have had the opportunity to work with the Sahabat Sarah's Father Foundation, which focuses on providing assistance to patients with cancer stemming from pre-sesejahtera families. We work together in providing donations to meet the basic needs of patients and their families while undergoing treatment in Jakarta, so that they can focus on the healing process and on this occasion our employees will also participate in providing children's toys to their patients as their entertainment," he explained.

Zaenuddin, a representative from the Sahabat Foundation, Sarah's father, expressed his appreciation for the support provided by JOYDAY. Currently, there are a number of 20 children registered at the foundation, most of whom come from underprivileged families.

"In addition to medical treatment, they also need sufficient social and material support to live their daily lives during treatment. The support provided by JoyDAY means a lot to children and their families. We believe that attention like this will provide new enthusiasm and hope for them," said Zaenuddin.

Firda Tsaniyah, a representative of Yili Indonesia Dairy's employees, thanked the company that had given him the opportunity to participate in events like this.

"This is a very valuable experience because we can not only provide spiritual support to children, but can also see firsthand their determination and optimistic spirit in facing various difficulties in life. I feel very happy and proud to be able to work in a company like this," explained Firda.

As part of his commitment, JOYDAY, has consistently provided support for Children's Cancer Day since 2019. This program is one of JAYDAY's ways to share happiness, while at the same time inviting people to care more about children who are struggling with cancer.

Yu Miao is grateful to have the opportunity to work with the Sahabat Foundation, Sarah's Father, in meeting the daily needs of children who are undergoing treatment in Jakarta.

"We hope that our contribution can give them a little happiness in the midst of the struggle against disease. We also hope that this can inspire more people to participate in providing support to them, so that we can together create bigger positive changes," he explained.

With this small step, Yili Indonesia Dairy hopes to continue to prioritize a sense of real social concern, build closer relationships between companies and the community, and encourage employees to be more sensitive to the surrounding environment.
