Support President Prabowo's Program, Sri Mulyani Disburses IDR 2 Trillion Budget To Build Superior Schools

Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani Indrawati said that she prepared a budget of IDR 2 trillion for the construction of a superior school designed to resemble the Taruna Nusantara School. The plan is for buildings to be carried out in various regions in Indonesia.

"We are also designing certain schools, called excellent schools, where they will provide opportunities for children in Indonesia, especially those with better quality such as Taruna Nusantara and other schools, which will be provided more, not only in one area, but in certain areas in Indonesia," Sri Mulyani said at the Mandiri Investment Forum 2025 event, Tuesday, February 11.

In addition, Sri Mulyani said that the Government has also allocated a budget to renovate schools in Indonesia.

"This is a field that President Prabowo has always mentioned that we need more budget to renovate (schools) because you see many school buildings in Indonesia, which actually need to be improved," he said.

Sri Mulyani explained that based on her presentation, the government had prepared a budget of Rp. 20 trillion to carry out a school renovation program. Including repair of classrooms, provision of furniture, and improvement of sanitation facilities.

The school renovation program will be coordinated by the Ministry of Public Works and Housing together with the Ministry of Education and Culture and the Ministry of Religion.

Meanwhile, a budget of IDR 2 trillion will be allocated for the physical development of an integrated superior school in four locations.

Furthermore, this program involves the Ministry of Public Works and Housing (MoPW), the Ministry of Education and Culture (MoEC), and the Ministry of Religion (MoRA).
