Hutama Karya: Construction Of The Musi V Palembang Bridge Is Targeted To Be Completed In 2026

PT Hutama Karya targets the construction of the Musi V Bridge as well as the toll road connecting Palembang City and Banyuasin Regency to be completed in 2026.

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary of PT Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim in his statement in Palembang, Tuesday, February 4, said that the Musi V Bridge is located in Kertapati District and Gandus District, Palembang City, which aims to accelerate the mobility of people passing on toll roads.

He explained that the Musi V Bridge, which began with the construction in May 2016, had gone through various initial stages such as technical planning, land acquisition and construction preparations carried out by the previous implementer, namely PT Sriwijaya Markmore Persada.

"The target for the construction of the Musi V Bridge is planned to be completed in February 2026, according to the set schedule," he explained, quoted by Antara.

He said the progress of the Musi V Bridge had reached the stage of completing the main structure of the bridge, including the construction of pier tables and pile caps.

"Currently, construction has entered the main structure stage of the bridge in the middle of the Musi River. The work on the main span of 2 main piers with 1 pier has started the construction of the upper structure/pier table and the other piers are in the stage of the pilecap work," he said.

Adjib said the construction of the Musi V Bridge has a budget of up to IDR 1.427 trillion. However, until now there are no more development plans around the bridge.

"Nothing is because the Musi V Bridge is a toll road bridge so it only connects toll roads with passing vehicles on them," he said.
