JAKARTA - Retired PT Jiwasraya (Persero) who are members of the Central Jiwasraya Retirement Association (PPK) submitted complaints regarding pension funds that have not been paid to Commission VI of the Indonesian House of Representatives (DPR).

Furthermore, Adrian said that until December 31, 2024, the remaining pension funds that must be paid are IDR 239.7 billion.

"Until now, it is not clear when the employer in this case is the Jiwasraya Directors will pay off their obligations 100 percent to Jiwasraya pension funds which are the rights of Jiwasraya retirees through employers' pension funds," he said in a meeting with Commission VI of the DPR, in Jakarta, Monday, February 3.

In the hope of members of Commission VI of the DPR, Adrian admitted that he was worried that his rights as a pensioner could not be fulfilled when Jiwasraya was liquidated. He also said that the number of recipients of the pension funds was 7,000 people.

"If it is not fulfilled then the fate of the retirees and their current family members will be 7,000, approximately retirees," he said.

"And his family members who depend heavily on continuity for him to make a living from the monthly pension benefits he receives, so this is what we are worried about," he continued.

Will Hold Demonstrations

Adrian also said that if the payment was not met 100 percent, then retirees would hold demonstrations at two points, namely the State Palace and the Office of the Ministry of SOEs.

"If our guidance cannot be fulfilled, then we are ready to hold a demonstration in front of the Presidential Palace and the Office of the Ministry of SOEs," he said.

Adrian said the demonstration was planned to be held on February 4, 2025, involving 325 people. Where, this action was addressed to President Prabowo Subianto and SOE Minister Erick Thohir.

"The aspiration of the Jiwasraya retiree is not yet clear from the employer, Jiwasraya's directors to pay off the solvency of Jiwasraya's pension fund which is the right of retirees," he said.

In addition, he said retirees also disagreed if Jiwasraya was disbanded before fulfilling his payment obligations to retirees.

Therefore, he also requested that the OJK, the Ministry of SOEs, and the Jiwasraya Board of Directors postpone the disbandment or liquidation of Jiwasraya before the pension rights are fulfilled.

"We through Commission VI really hope for help because this is in accordance with the P2SK and PUJK regulations, pension funds before being disbanded must meet their solvency," he said.
