100 Working Days Prabowo, Apindo: He Is Already Sensitive To Maintain The Business Climate

JAKARTA - The Indonesian Employers' Association (Apindo) stated that Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto in his work period of the past 100 days has been sensitive in maintaining the business climate in the country.

"In the last 100 days, we have seen that the President, Pak Prabowo, has been sensitive," said Apindo Chairman Shinta Kamdani, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, January 21.

According to him, the President's sensitivity in maintaining the business climate in Indonesia can be seen from the decision to increase the value added tax (VAT) to 12 percent which is only focused on luxury goods. This is considered not only to maintain the business climate, but also to maintain people's purchasing power.

Shinta said that President Prabowo's other sensitivity was to attract a lot of investment into the country through his visit to several countries.

"We see that in terms of investment, we really support that the President has also continued to encourage willing to increase joint work with many potential investors to invite them to enter Indonesia," he said.

However, Shinta said, there is still something that needs to be resolved by President Prabowo, especially regarding labor wages.

The administration of President Prabowo Subianto and Vice President Gibran Rakabuming Raka will right touch the first 100 days of their tenure on January 28, 2025.

Prabowo and Gibran served as Presidents of the Republic of Indonesia and Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia for the period 2024-2029 on October 20, 2024. On the same day, President Prabowo announced the names of his cabinet and ministers.

The President then inaugurated the ministers of the Red and White Cabinet and several heads of institutions on October 21, 2024.
