603 Thousand Jambi PLN Customers Take A 50 Percent Discount

JAMBI - PLN UP3 Jambi noted that more than 603,133 household customers could take advantage of a 50 percent electricity discount until February 2025.

PLN UP3 Jambi Manager Ediwan said the total number of customers entitled to this discount program was 603,133 data customers as of November 2024 out of a total of 678 thousand customers.

"Because every month there are continued additional customers, the percentage is 88 percent of the total PLN Jambi customers who can feel this benefit," he said as quoted by ANTARA, Saturday, January 4.

Ediwan said the 50 percent discount was intended to maintain people's purchasing power. This program is an implementation of economic policy packages to improve people's welfare.

"Discounts for prepaid or postpaid ones," he said.

This 50 percent discount on electricity rates is intended for all household customers, from a maximum power of 2200 VA to 450 VA for all customers at household rates.

Discounts are valid for two months, for postpaid and prepaid types of customers. For postpaid account bills counted for January and February usage, which are then paid in February and March.

For prepaid, discounts start to get from January 1, 2025 to February 2025.

Apart from household customers, he said, customers from other groups did not get discounts. Where there are several tariff categories including business, then industry, social, government.

"This is only for household customers," he said.

Then he explained that customers can get discounts easily without conditions either through PLN Mobile and other services in collaboration with PLN.

His party will continue to seek out socialization to the public regarding the use of this program.

"In the form of token discounts, you can buy any merchants in collaboration with PLN, PLN Mobile applications, other applications such as banks, ATMs, PPOB," he said.
