More Than 100,000 Visitors Celebrate New Year's Eve In Sarinah

JAKARTA - The New Year's Eve in Sarinah was lively with the extraordinary enthusiasm of the community. The Young-Mudi Sarinah Night event, which was held on December 31, 2024, managed to attract more than 100,000 visitors from various circles, making it one of the main destinations to celebrate the new year in Jakarta.

"Since the afternoon, Sarinah has been filled with visitors who want to enjoy various series of events. They come with family, friends, and partners to celebrate New Year's Eve in Sarinah," said the President Director of PT Sarinah, Fetty Kwartati, in a written statement, Thursday, January 2.

The event began with a moment full of nationality when Sarinah played the song Indonesia Raya, which was followed solemnly by all visitors. This moment shows Sarinah's commitment to upholding nationalism values amidst the excitement of New Year's Eve celebrations.

The main stage, Anjungan Sarinah, has become the center of attention with the performances of well-known young musicians Dul Jaelani and Feby Putri. What distinguishes this event, Sarinah is the only new year's night stage in Jakarta that provides a chance for young musicians to perform, namely Besthrine. This shows Sarinah's support for the development of the artistic talent of the younger generation.

In addition to musical performances, this event was also enlivened with traditional art performances such as Saman Dance, Fan Flower Dance and Jaipong Dance. These three dances have succeeded in captivating visitors with the beauty of the movement and rich culture that is displayed, making Sarinah a space where local and modern culture can mix harmoniously.

"Sarinah is committed to being a space for all circles, including young people, to enjoy memorable entertainment, culture, and experience. We are very pleased to see the enthusiasm of visitors so great tonight. Many capture the moment through photos and videos," added Fetty.

Not only enjoying entertainment, visitors are also presented with a culinary bazaar that presents 38 local business actors. Various culinary delights, ranging from traditional snacks to heavy foods, become a special attraction for visitors.

"This culinary bazaar aims to make Sarinah a one-stop destination during New Year's Eve. Visitors can not only enjoy entertainment, but also eat, drink, and shop comfortably in Sarinah," said Fetty.

This bazaar not only provides space for local f&b business actors to introduce their products, but also makes a positive contribution to the addition of Sarinah turnover. The presence of thousands of visitors throughout the night makes the bazaar one of the main attractions that increases economic activity in Sarinah.

One of the visitors, Rizka (28), shared his impression.

"I am very happy to come to Sarinah for New Year's Eve. I came with my family. The performance is interesting, from musical performances to traditional Indonesian performances. The atmosphere in Sarinah is also comfortable, and the existence of a bazaar makes this experience more exciting. Everything is complete here," he said.

The success of organizing the New Year's Eve event in Sarinah emphasized Sarinah's position as a center of modern lifestyle that still upholds local culture.
