"All vehicles recorded 10,372 units that have crossed from Java to Sumatra on D-3 or decreased by 25 percent, compared to the realization of the period with last year's 13,891 units," said General Manager of PT ASDP Indonesia Ferry (Persero) Merak Main Branch Rudi Sunarko as reported by ANTARA, Monday, December 23.

Based on data from the Merak Command Post in D-3, said Rudi, the realization of two-wheeled vehicles that had crossed on D-3 reached 1,563 units or decreased by 37 percent compared to last year's realization of 2,486 units.

Four-wheeled vehicles reached 5,185 units, down 30 percent, compared to the realization of the same period last year of 7,428 units.

Meanwhile, the total number of vehicles that have crossed from D-7 was recorded at 46,385 units, down five percent compared to the realization of the same period last year of 48,953 units.

The number of ships operating was 33 ships.

"The realization of the total passengers crossing from Java to Sumatra on D-3 reached 45,895 people, or decreased by 24 percent, compared to the realization of the same period last year of 60,553 people," said Rudi.

Meanwhile, the total number of passengers crossing from Java to Sumatra from D-7 to D-3 was recorded at 192,600 people, or a decrease of 7 percent compared to the realization of the same period last year as many as 206,906 people.
