Minister Of Transportation Kaji Substitutes Dukuh Bridge For Airport LRT-KA Liaison, Using Boats?

TANGERANG - Minister of Transportation (Menhub) Dudy Purwagandhi admitted that he was reviewing alternative modes of transportation as a substitute for the Dukuh Atas multipurpose crossing bridge to connect the Jabodebek LRT with the BNI City Airport Train.

For your information, the Dukuh Atas multipurpose crossing bridge is indeed the only link between Dukuh Atas LRT Station and BNI City Airport Train Station and Sudirman KRL Station by crossing the West Flood Canal River.

The bridge, which has been built since 2021, has an area of 2,350 square meters with a length from the Jabodebek LRT to KRL Sudirman Station reaching 265 meters.

The travel time to cross this bridge is approximately 7 minutes.

Dudy explained that this study departed from complaints from the public who felt that the Dukuh Atas multipurpose crossing bridge connecting Dukuh Atas LRT Station with the BNI City Airport Train and Sudirman KRL Station was long and far away.

When asked if it was likely to use the boat by utilizing the West Flood Canal River around the station, Dudy said, all transportation mode options would be discussed to determine which would be the most effective.

"We'll see all the possibilities. Yes, all options, roads, then what, including the side, we'll see everything," he said.

Previously, SOE Minister Erick Thohir had leaked that there was a big government plan through the Ministry of Transportation (Kemenhub) to integrate the BNI City Airport Train with the Dukuh Atas LRT.

Erick said that optimizing this acceleration needs to be done to avoid traffic congestion on toll roads to Soekarno-Hatta International Airport.

"Because from the Minister of Transportation, I don't want to announce it, let him announce it. He also has extraordinary innovations, Mr. Dudi.
