Supporting The Smooth Running Of The Nataru Holiday, These Four Trans Sumatra Toll Roads Are Freely Opened

JAKARTA - PT Hutama Karya (Persero) opens the functional four sections of the Trans Sumatra Toll Road (JTTS) starting Sunday, December 21, 2024.

This step is to support the smooth flow of traffic during the Christmas and New Year (Nataru) holidays,

Executive Vice President (EVP) Corporate Secretary Hutama Karya Adjib Al Hakim said the four toll roads were opened with special provisions to ensure the safety and comfort of road users while they were functionalized.

Adjib said that the functional operation of these four toll roads is intended for certain types of vehicles, namely Group I such as private cars and other small vehicles with a maximum speed of 60 km/hour.

Meanwhile, heavy trucks such as trucks, buses and non-Group I vehicles are not allowed to cross the four functional toll roads.

The four toll functionals include the Sigli 'Banda Aceh (Sibanceh) Section 1 Seulimeum 'Padang Tiji along 24.67 kilometers and the Kuala Tanjung' Tebing Tinggi Toll Road' Partial Parapat Section 2 Kuala Tanjung' Indrapura along 10.15 kilometers managed by a subsidiary of Hutama Karya.

In addition, there is the Binjai 'Langsa Section 3 Tanjung Pura' Pangkalan Brandan 19 kilometers long and the Pekanbaru 'Padang Section Padang-Sicincin (Pacin) toll road 36.6 kilometers long.

"The functional time is 08.00 to 16.00 WIB for the Pacin Toll Road, 08.00 to 17.00 WIB for the Sibanceh Toll Road Section 1 and 07.00 to 17.00 WIB for the Binjai Langsa Section 3 Toll Road and the Kuala Tanjung Toll Road. ," said Adjib in a written statement, quoted on Friday, December 20.

In detail, the Sigli' Banda Aceh Section Seulimeum 'Padang Tiji' will apply a one-way (one way) scheme from Seulimeum to Padang Tiji, with arterial routes as an alternative to returning to the area of origin.

The same thing is also applied to the Pekanbaru 'Padang Section Padang' Sicincin Toll Road, which will apply a one-way scheme from Padang to Bukittinggi. The two toll roads will be opened functionally until Thursday, January 2, 2025.

Meanwhile, the Binjai 'Langsa Section 3 Tanjung Pura' Pangkalan Brandan and the Kuala Tanjung' Indrapura Toll Road managed by Hutama Karya's subsidiary, namely PT Hutama Marga Waskita (Hamawas), will be operated functionally until Sunday, January 5, 2025.

Adjib hopes that this operation can support the smooth flow of traffic to the Lake Toba Tourism Area.

To ensure safety and comfort during the functional, Hutama Karya also ensures the readiness of patrol officers, emergency health services, additional signs and coordination with related parties for smooth flow.

He also emphasized the importance of safety aspects as long as toll road users pass through the functional section and prepare themselves well before the trip.

Adjib appealed. toll users to remain careful and obey the speed limit.

"If there are complaints or see crimes on toll roads, please immediately report to the Call Center of each toll road," he concluded.
