Coordinating Minister AHY Expressed The Cause Of The Many Budgets Of Ministries-Institutions Down In 2025

JAKARTA - Coordinating Minister for Regional Infrastructure and Development (IPK) Agus Harimurti Yudhoyono (AHY) revealed that the cause of the ministry/institution budget in the Red and White Cabinet will decrease in 2025.

"There has been a reduction in the budget because the priority of this country is also increasing," AHY said in his remarks at the 2024 Road Day National Seminar at the Ministry of Public Works office, Jakarta, Thursday, December 19.

AHY assessed that other reasons related to the reduction in the budget were due to the current formation of many new ministries or institutions in the era of President Prabowo's leadership.

"Imagine of the 34 ministries, there are now 48 ministries. Of the 4 Coordinating Ministry, there are now 7 Coordinating Ministry. Not yet new bodies have been formed," he said.

According to AHY, with a very limited number of APBNs, the state budget must be carefully managed so that all ministries/agencies can work properly.

"Mr. President (Prabowo Subianto) has reminded you to be patient with all ministries. We also have to understand that there are sectors that are prioritized," he added.

To note, one of the ministries in the Red and White Cabinet that experienced a budget reduction was the Ministry of Public Works (PU).

Initially, the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR) received a budget allocation of IDR 116 trillion for next year. This figure has increased by IDR 40.59 trillion from the original IDR 75.63 trillion.

However, now the budget is reduced after the Ministry of PUPR is separated from the establishment of the Ministry of Housing and Settlement Areas (PKP).

Therefore, the Minister of Public Works, Dody Hanggodo, proposed an additional budget of IDR 60.6 trillion.

"For 2025 itself, we actually intend to propose an additional (budget) of Rp. 60.6 trillion," said Dody in a working meeting (Raker) with Commission V at the DPR RI Building, Jakarta, Tuesday, December 3.

Later, the budget will be divided into three main allocations, including the Directorate General (Ditjen) of Water Resources (SDA) of Rp9.03 trillion, the Directorate General of Highways Rp35.89 trillion and the Directorate General of Human Settlements Rp16.68 trillion.

The allocation for the IKN project is IDR 14.87 trillion.

Consisting of the Directorate General of Highways project of Rp9.9 trillion and the Directorate General of Human Settlements project of Rp4.96 trillion. Meanwhile, for the New Autonomous Region (DOB) Papua amounting to Rp4 trillion.
