JAKARTA - PT Bank Rakyat Indonesia (Persero) Tbk (BRI) noted that the distribution of People's Business Credit (KUR) was IDR 175.66 trillion to 3.7 million MSME debtors by the end of November 2024.
BRI Micro Business Director Supari revealed that this achievement is part of BRI's efforts to expand access to capital for MSME players, especially in productive sectors such as agriculture, trade, and fisheries.
"Through KUR, we not only provide financing, but also empower MSMEs to be able to grow more sustainably," he said, Monday, December 9.
BRI noted that the distribution of KUR is spread evenly in various parts of Indonesia with a focus on empowering the production sector.
"The Agricultural Sector is the largest contributor among other sectors, which is Rp. 69.60 trillion or takes a portion of 39.62 percent," added Supari.
Previously, Supari proposed that the People's Business Credit (KUR) distribution scheme next year be divided into two, namely encouraging inclusiveness and graduation of MSME actors.
Different schemes are important to implement given the difference in the qualifications of subsidized credit recipients from the government.
"KUR must start to have different schemes. I think there are two schemes, namely in the context of inclusion and in order to prepare graduation or pregraduation," explained Supari.
