InJourney Operates 37 24-hour Airports In The Christmas And New Year Holiday Period

JAKARTA - PT Aviasi Wisata Indonesia (Persero) or InJourney through its subsidiary, PT Angkasa Pura Indonesia (API) or InJourney Airports will operate 37 airports for 24 hours during the 2024 Christmas and 2025 New Year holidays (Nataru).

President Director of InJourney, Maya Watono explained that the operation of the airport for 24 hours was to accommodate the increase in passenger movements in the Nataru period.

The number of passenger movements at the airport during the 2024 Christmas and New Year 2025 (Nataru) holidays is predicted to increase by 4.52 percent.

"We are also preparing our airport, our 37 airports will operate 24 hours, complaints of operating hours for 24 hours start for 18 days, from December 19 to January 5, 2025," he said at a press conference at the Ministry of SOEs Office, Jakarta, Friday, December 6.

Maya said InJourney predicts the peak of the departure flow will occur on December 20, 2024, and the peak of backflow will occur on January 4, 2025.

Meanwhile, to accommodate the increase in passengers during Nataru, continued Maya, InJourney deployed 15,998 personnel, consisting of 336 customer service personnel, 2,883 facilities care personnel, and 381 trolley man.

"With sufficient personnel preparation, it is hoped that at peak season all passenger touch points can be served properly," he said.

Maya said Soekarno-Hatta Airport and I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport will become the most populous airports during the Nataru period. Where the number of passenger traffic at Soekarno-Hatta Airport increased by 8.92 percent compared to last year.

"Meanwhile, the movement of I Gusti Ngurah Rai Airport passengers is projected to increase by 12.05 percent during the Nataru period this year compared to last year," he said.
