Conduct Audience, Minister Of MSMEs: Ojol Still Gets Subsidized Fuel

JAKARTA - Minister of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) Maman Abdurrahman emphasized that online motorcycle taxis (ojol) can still 'consumpt' Pertalite-type subsidized fuel. This was revealed after he held an audience with online motorcycle taxi sociations throughout Indonesia today, Friday, December 6.

Maman said, in a coordination meeting with the Task Force for the Discussion of Subsidized Fuel, chaired by the Minister of Energy and Mineral Resources (ESDM) Bahlil Lahadalia, ojol was included in the MSME category so that it was still entitled to use Pertalite.

"I emphasize once again, they still have the right to receive subsidized fuel allocations in their daily activities," said Maman at the Ministry of Cooperatives Office, Friday, December 6.

As an assistant to the president, Maman said this was in accordance with President Prabowo Subianto's mandate to pay attention to the lowest economic base, one of which was ojol which was included in the MSME category.

"Securing the public transportation sector, which almost all of our people use ojol services, is certainly a must for us to secure," added Maman.

Maman said that users of two-wheeled vehicles in Indonesia are currently estimated at 120 million and he ensures that motorized vehicles outside the ojol will not receive subsidized fuel allocations.

To ensure that this subsidized fuel is right on target for Ojol users, Maman revealed that he will call online transportation operator companies such as Gojek, Grab and Maxim to convey data on ojol partners. The data will later be synchronized with data belonging to PT Pertamina (Persero) as a subsidized fuel distributor.

"So that later at each gas station it can be verified which one is ojol, which one is not," said Maman.
